17 lectures by 21 international speakers from Germany, UK, US, Switzerland, Austria, France – this is the setting of Bruker Alicona’s first TechDays, June 15–17.

Over three days, this virtual event offers a versatile spectrum of topics by international speakers who discuss trends, challenges and visions in manufacturing and metrology.

The theme of the online event is ‘Metrology meets Production’. Lecturers from research and production discuss trends in machining, focus on game-changing technologies, such as additive manufacturing and talk about automated production processes by linking robotics, artificial intelligence and measuring equipment. Core questions are, among others, the role and significance of measurement technology for optimising the value chain and implementing modern manufacturing concepts. Also, the question will be addressed which requirements manufactures place on metrology supplier and their measuring tools.

The list of representatives from industry and research institutes includes a number of renowned brands, including DMG Mori, Universal Robots as well as Fraunhofer.

One of the highlights of this event will be the 1st Round Table hosted by Bruker Alicona, a supplier of optical 3D production metrology. It is on Additive Manufacturing and covers topics like current research activities, further potentials for optimising manufacturing compared to subtractive processes and what metrology can achieve in this field.

The TechDays are a free virtual event. Interested visitors are invited to register at the respective software platform and can compile their personal agenda.
