In the run-up to its 30th anniversary, PRF Composite Materials has announced expansion plans for 2013 with the purchase of a new factory to extend its premises and processing capabilities.

The new factory, which will be handed over in late November and operational by January 2013, will be built to PRF’s specification and will be fitted with clean rooms for the cutting of prepreg materials to commercial and military aircraft standard. This facility will be developed into a purpose-built kit cutting and preforming centre. From January 2013 onwards, significant investment will be made into new machines and equipment to expand the company’s processing capabilities further. PRF will continue to run operations from the main office and rapid-response warehouse; with the new site a short distance away. PRF Composite Materials’ managing director, Robert Burnell commented: “These significant investments demonstrate our commitment to growing our business and developing our capabilities to service the advanced composites industry.” www.prfcomposites.com
