A range of the latest epoxy resin systems from Huntsman Advanced Materials have received certification from the Lloyd’s Register Type Approval.

The five certified systems target different processes or applications including composites tooling, repairs and structural parts production: Araldite LY 1564/Aradur 3486 and Araldite LY 1564/Aradur 3487; Araldite LY 1564/Aradur 3486; Araldite LY 1568/Aradur 3489; Araldite LY 3505/XB 3403; RenLam CY 219/Ren HY 5160. Designed to ensure products meet recognised standards or specifications, the impartial verification and certification service provided by the Lloyd’s Register Type Approval is widely referred to by designers and engineers across the marine industry during the product selection process. Increasing demands for high performance materials and advanced rapid production techniques in marine applications represent a key factor in Huntsman’s development of new products.
