Cost-efficient use of GFRP pressurised water pipes

The use of glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP) in pressurised water pipes allows high internal pressures to be absorbed. These GFRP pipes are used, among other things, in water treatment and seawater desalination plants.

Dynexa is part of the Avanco Group, which has been producing GFRP pressure pipes since 2002. At the Laudenbach site, GFRP pressure pipes are manufactured in standard dimensions of 8 and 10 inches, as well as in customer-specific special dimensions.

By individually adjusting the wall thickness, the pipes can be designed and produced to match exactly the internal pressure that occurs. These pipes are completed by our customers with plate filters or wound modules, which dissolve and separate dirt or salt particles from the water by reverse osmosis.

The GFRP pressure pipes are produced with partially automated serial production lines. Dynexa is characterised by the flexibility of the customer-specific single-part production up to the industrial fibre composite large series production.

These products are used efficiently due to their low running costs:

  • Reduction of cleaning costs: The smooth surface is easy and quick to clean and a longer cleaning interval is advantageous.

  • Savings in installation costs: GRP pipes are lightweight, can be installed faster and by fewer personnel.

  • Elimination of high maintenance costs: Due to the corrosion resistance of GFRP the application requires little maintenance
