Cybernet Systems has offered a variety of service and sales of Ansys for over 20 years and has been providing various analysis solutions based on analysis techniques that have been developed over time.

In recent years, the need for multi-scale analysis using homogenisation methods as an effective technique for material design/development is growing. Accordingly, Cybernet have developed customised products based on Ansys for multi-scale analysis that allows the linking of macro structure and micro structure analysis as a solution.

According to results of a survey conducted by NAFEMS [1], the biggest problem for analysts of composites is the lack of sufficient material databases. Material constants of anisotropic materials are always needed to reflect mechanical characteristics of composite materials in CAE analysis.

In order to achieve this, you need to prepare not only the Young’s modulus in three directions, but also the Shear modulus and Poisson’s ratio. It is very difficult to obtain all these material constants in actual material tests. Multiscale.Sim provides a solution to surmount these problems and dramatically improve the analysis process.

Multiscale.Sim provides a virtual material testing based on finite element method [2]. A simple conceptual diagram is shown above. Unit cell model representing non-homogeneity of microstructure is used as a test piece. Cybernet also provides a wide variety of templates to automatically create such models. Virtual material test can be easily carried out for any type of deformation mode.

With Multiscale.Sim, you no longer have to worry about getting material constants for composites. Please contact the company for further details. Cybernet also offers a free trial license and technical support for benchmark testing.
