The Composites Innovation Cluster (CiC), the collaborative R&D programme, has announced a final public event on 17th November 2016 at the Westminster Conference Centre in London to celebrate the partner’s success.
After five years of work with a total spend of £22 million, revolutionising the lightweighting of composites, this event will bring together government and industry to share the positive impact the Cluster has had on the composites supply chain as the programme comes to a successful close.
At the event, attendees will see and hear about the composites capability demonstrated by the programme, from complete propeller blades to full vehicle chassis, from thermoplastics to graphene-enhanced composites.
The 31 partners who worked on 17 projects between them produced a range of demonstrators across the gamut of the composite value chain, including CAE, FEA, design for manufacture, automation, over moulding, HP-RTM and liquid resin infusion.
The event is an excellent opportunity to find out more on the Cluster’s outcomes and form collaborations with those project partners going forward. It will also see the publication of the of the Programme’s final report.
Registrations are now being taken via Eventbrite (https://cicfinalevent.eventbrite.co.uk) where the programme can also be found. Attendance is free-of-charge.
The Composites Innovation Cluster was supported by the Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative (AMSCI).
