The CiC, which is the largest, single collaborative research and development programme in the UK composites industry, combined the event with the official launch of its final public report. The report gives a complete overview of the achievements from the 31 partner organisations who took part in the 17 projects within the programme. Between them, the partners produced a range of demonstrators across the breadth of the composite value chain.
The agenda highlighted how the CiC has contributed to the UK Composites Strategy, since its inception and going forward into new collaborations. Key speakers Jesse Norman MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Industry & Energy and Tim Cullen OBE, deputy director of Steel and Materials, at BEIS spoke about the integral support the UK government has provided the CiC and similar programmes.
