Composite Integration appoints Searle as new R&D director

Composite Integration has announced that Dr Tim Searle has joined the company full time in a new position of research and development director.

Searle has a long and successful background in composites, having started as a Marine Engineering Student at the University of Plymouth, followed by his PhD in Composites before a period lecturing and consulting as the commercial manager with the Advanced Composites Manufacturing Centre (ACMC) at Plymouth.

Searle set up a private composites consultancy company, Composite Innovations in 2005 and carried out a very wide range of commercial research projects over the past 16 years.

More recently, the R&D work of both Composite Integration and Composite Innovations has been highly complementary and both look forward to continuing this work with new and existing customers within Composite Integration’s Research & Development division.
