Call for papers announced for CompIC Middle East 2018

The call for papers has launched for the next edition of CompIC ME (Composites in Construction Middle East), an international conference taking place 14-15 February 2018 at the Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach, Dubai, UAE.

The conference is being held amongst the composite flooded Dubai skyline, and will introduce and educate visitors on the current and future use of fibre reinforced composites in construction, detailing innovations and trends in the industry, potential for weight saving on large span structures, economic advantages, whole life cost, architectural freedom and diversity and challenging traditional architectural design.

Abstracts are now being sought from potential speakers on subjects relating to the use of FRP composites in construction to include, but not limited to: materials and design, reinforcement and strengthening, biocomposites in construction, thermoplastics in construction, manufacturing, testing, standards, codes and procedures, case studies, opportunities for new applications.

Presentations reach an international audience of professional end-users, architects, asset owners, composite manufacturers, material suppliers, consultancies and designers, the breadth of knowledge of visitors will further add to the event’s unique meeting of minds.

Abstracts can be submitted via the CompIC ME website at www.mecompositesin.construction and the closing date for papers is 29th September 2017.
