Celebrating 15 years at the forefront of UK composites manufacturing, Atlas Composites says it hopes to be celebrating again on the 28th September after being nominated in two categories for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce Best Business Awards 2012.
The awards, aimed at recognising and rewarding the achievements of successful local firms and business leaders, are split into nine different categories and will be presented at two gala black tie awards dinners. The Derbyshire Awards night will take place at Derby College’s Roundhouse. Atlas Composites has been shortlisted for the Rolls-Royce sponsored Excellence in Innovation Award as well as Business of the Year – the accolade for all round business excellence. Atlas Composites’ managing director, Shaun Moloney is hoping a potent combination of sustainable business growth and industry leading innovation into aerospace composites may just prove to be a winning formula. “We are absolutely delighted to receive two DNCC business award nominations, our continued development work with current customers such as Airbus, Rolls-Royce and GKN Aerospace has been crucial to supporting the sustainable growth in the business,” he explained. “This underpins the need to develop our workforce and their skills through apprenticeship training to promote our capability to compete in international markets.” www.atlascomposites.com
