Scott Bader’s chemical plant in Croatia, has recently been awarded full certification according to OHSAS 1800:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) standard.
This latest accreditation is in addition to the Croatian plant’s existing ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001: 2004 (Environmental Management System) management certifications, which have been in place for a number of years. All three management systems have also been independently certified by the Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) agency. Scott Bader d.o.o., located in the industrial zone just outside of Zagreb, manufactures both unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins for composites applications, as well as alkyd resins and solvent borne acrylics for speciality polymers. For the Scott Bader management team in Zagreb, this is a significant achievement for the site, which has now attained the same level of ISO and OHSAS approvals as the two other Scott Bader plants in Europe located in Northamptonshire, England, and Amiens, Northern France. “I am delighted and proud of my team, led by our technical manager Tina Buhin, for succeeding in obtaining this latest OHSAS 18001 certification for the Zagreb site,” stated Andrej Potežica, managing director of Scott Bader d.o.o. “This was a key objective from the Group board to have all three production sites in Europe operating at the same high levels of quality, safety and environmental standards, which has now been achieved.” www.scottbader.com
