Red Composites secures towpreg supply agreement

Red Composites, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of carbon and glass fibre towpregs has secured qualification and long-term supply agreements for use of its products at Draeger Safety.

Draeger Safety will utilise towpregs from Red Composites to manufacture composite cylinders for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). Composite tanks are a critical component to supply wearers such as firefighters with breathable air.

Jeremy Dolby, managing director at Red Composites commented: “Draeger is a globally recognised name in the field of safety technology. We are immensely proud to have our composite products incorporated into demanding, critical-to-life applications.”
