Cristex Composite Materials introduces their new slitting and rewinding service. This service is designed to convert master rolls of glass and carbon fibre fabrics to narrow width tapes, which are typically used in areas of high stress where reinforcement is required.

Master rolls of up to 1.7m in width can be accommodated with ISO9001 certification, full traceability and quality is guaranteed.

Bruce Craig, director of Cristex, commented: “We can supply and process materials here at Cristex prior to shipment, saving our customers time and money. Similarly we can assist customers if they already have the material, as our set up and cutting costs are fixed to offer a real cost saving option”.

Cristex also provides a technical textile cutting service, which uses the latest nesting software that makes full economical use of materials. Kitting removes the problem of scrap and material off cuts from customers’ premises. All waste is disposed of responsibly and recycled where possible.
