The company has enjoyed recent success including more than 10 appointments since March 2016. Results have improved significantly, with the business growing revenues by over 10% in its last financial year and 20% year on year for the last five years, with growth expected to hit 40% for the 2016 financial year. Expansion plans are already underway to open up another 4,000ft2 of manufacturing space and further recruitment is in the pipeline.
Since 2013, the company has scooped up 10 awards/commendations. Two of these were presented at this month’s Composite UK Awards. James Kilbrane, age 19, was awarded Apprentice of the Year, and the company won the Health & Safety award for outstanding safety practices in the workplace.
The company says the growth has been based on its ability to respond to customers’ needs and provide new products and service offerings, whilst improving its lean manufacturing and business processes.
Ben Wilson, director at MPM, said: “I’m very proud of the work which we do and the way our organisation is developing and growing. Our achievements are carried forward by the incredible team that strive to provide best in class composite solutions that create real value for our customers.
“We are delighted to once again receive external validation from the Composite UK Awards as they have recognised the work we do throughout the business to create a truly great place to work. James Kilbrane thoroughly deserved to win the Apprentice of the Year award, and it is great to see that our investment in an in-house apprenticeship scheme is a going from strength to strength.”
