SonicShark is a self-learning real-time system that uses acoustic sensors to monitor the quality of machining processes in machine tools. Hufschmied will present its innovative inline quality control system in several German, English and Chinese presentations.
At the DiMaP, digitisation approaches will be presented along the machining value chain. Experts from Hufschmied will present details of this innovative system for the first time in the presentations ‘SonicShark - Inline Quality Control - Tool and Process’ and ‘SonicShark - Inline Quality Control - Machine and Component’ in German and English.
The structure and basic functions of the system will be explained and participants will gain detailed insights into how machine, component and tool data can be visualised and analysed. In addition, Hufschmied will offer a Chinese presentation on the whole subject matter.
SonicShark evaluates vibrations and acoustic signals in the machine tool room to monitor process and workpiece quality. In developing its self-learning process and quality control system, Hufschmied is networking with numerous organisations.
At the DiMaP online conference, a joint presentation with the host pro-micron will present the research project ‘MultiPROM - Multisensory Process and Machine Monitoring for Fibre Composite Machining Centres.’ As part of the project, a monitoring system was developed that combines machine and process monitoring to minimise non-productive time. This is made possible by the in-process evaluation of tool paths and the recording and interpretation of multisensory data streams.
