The standard range of over 10 different prepregs currently manufactured by GMS Composites includes two tooling options: BP-190, a high temperature BMI resin tooling prepreg and EP-250 a high Tg, low temperature cure epoxy tooling prepreg. For particularly demanding applications the range has prepreg systems with enhanced performance attributes, such as: EP-290, a carbon nano toughened epoxy resin matrix prepreg; EP-530, a UL94 V-0 rated fire retardant epoxy prepreg resin; and EP-620, a ballistic level high impact resistant epoxy prepreg resin, which was first launched at JEC Europe earlier this year. All GMS Composites prepreg resins can be combined with a wide range of composite reinforcement fabrics made from carbon fibres, aramid, S-glass or polyethylene fibres to mould components designed for a variety of demanding applications in: aerospace, defence, rail, automotive and motorsport applications. As part of its continued business expansion, another reason GMS Composites is present at JEC Asia 2013 is to find and appoint suitable new agents and distributors based regionally in Asia who specialise in the supply of advanced composites to the key target markets. www.gmscomposites.com
