The start of the Formula Two season has led to new orders for composites engineers at Mussett Engineering and Composites.

The Formula Two season got under way at Silverstone in April and parts for all the cars on the starting grid are being made at Mussett Engineering, of Norfolk. Floor panels, nose cones and side bars are among the composite components which are produced for the cars and competitive, high-speed races mean that the firm’s engineers need to regularly make replacement parts and upgrades to keep the teams on track during the race season, which ends in September. Gordon Mussett said: “We’ve been working for Formula Two since 2007 and the orders always keep our composites division very busy. Over the winter months we worked on parts for a number of Formula One teams and we also work throughout the year on parts for the World Rally Series. We have an excellent reputation as a top-tier supplier for motorsport clients.” www.mussett.co.uk
