DK Holdings continues its green energy investment

DK Holdings, a specialist manufacturer and worldwide supplier of diamond tools and precision-engineered components, has announced that another 585 solar panels have been fitted to its ISO-accredited UK production facilities, enabling the company to produce 33% of energy required to run the site annually via solar power.

“We continuously strive to reduce our carbon footprint through several initiatives and investments,” stated company finance director, Darren Mills. “We installed our first set of solar panels in October 2015 and the aim was always to increase the capacity in addition to the 50kW PV already in place.”

The additional panels will ensure an estimated annual CO2 emission saving of 60tCO2e/year, the equivalent of planting 2,770 trees.

“We have other measures in the pipeline for 2023 to further reduce our environmental impact and ensure we do our bit for future generations and will share more details in due course,” Mills concludes.
