CRP Technology will be attending MotorsportAM - Accelerating Innovation Beyond the Track, that will be held on the 8-9 October 2020 at the Silverstone race circuit in the UK.

To better explain the key contribution of CRP Technology’s technological expertise in the development and manufacturing of Energica Motor Company full-electric motorbikes, an Energica motorcycle will also be exhibited at the show.

Through the presentation “How State-of-the-art Technologies Drive Advancement in Motorsport”, CRP Technology will be sharing its latest challenges and experiences and discuss technical solutions that helped Motorsport organisations reach their targets. The solutions are based on the use of Windform TOP-LINE range of high-performance composite materials, engineered for bringing value in Motorsport organisations’ search for performance.

At MotorsportAM, the ‘Energica formula’ will be explained: from the entrepreneurial vision of the Cevolini family in 2009, to the worldwide success as single manufacturer for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup, the role Additive Manufacturing has been taking in design and production of the high-performing electric motorcycles Energica, and how they were developed based on the experience and know-how of CRP Technology.

The presentation will be also shedding light on the advantages of using Additive Manufacturing and Windform materials through actual examples of parts and components manufactured for Energica motorcycles.

Eng. Franco Cevolini, CRP Technology CTO and Energica Motor Company president, stated: “CRP Technology along with CRP Meccanica, acted as Energica’s technology and financial incubator and they are still today the lead investors of Energica Motor Company, since it has become an independent entity.

“All Energica motorcycle models currently on the market were created and engineered through the support of CRP Technology: its innovative and avant-garde solutions in the field of additive manufacturing technology have made Energica a unique model throughout the world, and we want to make it clear at MotorsportAM.”

CRP Technology is partnering with Energica on the development and construction of Ego Corsa, Energica’s electric race bike for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup, which is derived from the street-legal motorcycle Energica Ego. Some recent components inside the Ego Corsa’s new battery are 3D printed using Windform FR2, the newest and disruptive material from the Windform TOP-LINE range.

The Motorsport industry has always been committed to lightweighting solutions alongside ever-changing rules and regulations, and forward-thinking teams strive to gain a competitive edge.

From design and manufacturing techniques to materials and testing, MotorsportAM will enable participants to hear from industry experts, academics and teams, network with peers and visit exhibitors at a fantastic venue, overlooking the track at Silverstone.

Siobhan Longhurst, Fluency marketing events director, said: “Having CRP Technology confirmed for MotorsportAM is a fantastic addition to the already exciting event. I’m really pleased to announce that the Energica motorcycle will be a feature on the show floor and I’m sure this will prove to be of great interest to all delegates.”
