As part of its planned investment programme, Blackman and White, the UK’s only manufacturer of industrial flatbed cutters has recruited Adam Dobkin to spearhead the company’s new online spare part division.

Dobkin, a graduate in Computer Solutions, will be responsible for ongoing development of the Essex-based company’s new website www.cuttingresources.com and ensuring customers receive the high standards of service. “As the only manufacturer of flatbed cutting machines in the UK, we are able to provide a rapid turnaround and delivery of spares and consumables such as replacement blades and router bits, not only for Blackman and White machines but most standard industrial flatbed cutters,” stated Dobkin. “Automated cutting machines are used for accurate cutting of composite materials in manufacturing to increase speed and efficiency, so minimising downtime can be critical for our customers. The new on-line service means customers can order spares immediately they are required, even if it’s outside normal office hours. We can then process and despatch the orders straight away to ensure that full production can be resumed with the minimum of delay.” Commercial director, Eiko White added: “Since the company was founded 45 years ago, Blackman and White has always been committed to providing effective cutting solutions and excellent customer service. Adam is joining us with a fresh enthusiasm and his skills in computer solutions will help us meet the future needs of our customers, and ensure we continue to offer a world-class service.” www.bwcutters.com
