Anaglyph has announced the release of a new version of its composites design and analysis software Laminate Tools.

Laminate Tools Version 4.7 brings a number of new features and improvements, such as automatic meshing over holes for CAD or FEA files, for easier draping simulations; options to control projected ply creation/modification; new FEA file import/export, offering numerous enhancements; support for deformed shape plots; support for Abaqus and Nastran complex dynamic results (force, stress, displacement); Abaqus ODB continuum shells post-processed as normal; Abaqus 2017 support; new elliptical failure index envelope plot per element for popular stress-based criteria; as well as numerous fixes and additions to the unique Phasebook feature.

Laminate Tools is a standalone Windows application that addresses the entire Geometry import-Design-Analysis-Check-Manufacture process of composites structural design. It links the various disciplines, communicates original data between all involved in the process and saves valuable team time. Laminate tools interfaces with most CAD and FEA applications.
