50-day countdown to new factory opening

Production of composite components manufactured from within epm: technology's new hi-tech factory is due to commence in 50 days' time.

Production of composite components manufactured from within epm: technology’s new hi-tech factory is due to commence in 50 days’ time. Contractors are racing to complete the £6.75 million 60,000ft2 factory off Raynesway and are entering into the final phase of the project which commenced in September last year, with support from the Derby Enterprise Growth Fund. Work equipping the new building with the infrastructure to enable to it to start production has commenced, enabling it to produce items for Formula 1, aerospace and automotive markets, from June. With the ‘move in process’ firmly in sight the epm:technology team is firming up its plans to ensure production will continue throughout the seamless transition from epm:technology’s existing site in nearby Draycott. A countdown process is in place and a +100 day process, to ensure we are on top of our game when moving into our new home. When finished the new factory which will also include industry-leading research and development and will be almost treble the size of the company’s existing site, and effectively quadruple its existing output. “My team has a very clear focus,” explained Graham Mulholland, owner and managing director of epm:technology. “The development is racing along at a phenomenal pace and it’s almost inconceivable to consider that in less than six months since announcing this project, I am able to stand in a brand new factory and say that the final 50-day countdown to when production begins has now commenced. “While there is still an incredible amount of work to transform the shell of a building into a state-of-the-art factory, it will, when complete, position epm:technology at the very forefront of composite component manufacturing and engineering. I am extremely confident my team are ready and we will be moving throughout May, and be fully operational in June.” www.epmtechnology.com
