SportAM launched with Archery GB competitor as opening speaker

Fluency Marketing has announced Harriet Little, Archery GB competitor and Oxford Brookes University Sports Masters Student, as the opening speaker for its inaugural SportAM conference which takes place on 16-17 November 2021 in Loughborough, UK.

Little became disabled at the age of nine due to a neurological disorder. She had always had a huge passion for sport and wasn’t going to let her disability shatter her dreams of representing her country. Harriet found a love for archery and will be talking about how composite materials helped her reach her goal of competing for Team GB.

The call for speakers is now open and the conference is looking to bring together industry experts and the latest innovations across the sector.

Potential speakers are invited to submit synopses to outline experiences, new innovations, developments and opportunities in the development and use of advanced materials.

Suggested topics to promote the use of advanced materials in Sport applications may include, but are not limited to:

  • Advanced materials for Sport applications

  • Lightweighting and durability

  • Future innovations and material development

  • Advances in equipment and apparel

  • Design flexibility

  • Repeatability

  • Sustainability

  • Case studies

Gemma Smith, managing director at Fluency Marketing, said: “We are incredibly excited to launch SportAM which will take place this November. Advanced Materials have such an important role in advancing the sporting goods industry and I am excited to hear about the latest innovations. We are really pleased to welcome Harriet and look forward to hearing her first-hand experience of the benefits she gained through the use of composites in sport.”
