Exhibiting at JEC World for the very first time, Sharp & Tappin Technology (hall 6, stand B84), a precision engineering company from the UK’s West Country will showcase its COMPCUT range of composite machining solutions to the European market at the event.

Sharp & Tappin says its range of Compcut Advanced Composite Plate Saws has won positive acclaim in the UK market for precision, accuracy and consistency - demonstrating the highest standards for cut quality, parallelism and perpendicularity across the entire range.

At JEC World, the company will highlight its Compcut 200 model, a compact unit that has proved popular across the UK with R&D units, university departments and composite test centres, offering very affordable access to an easy to use though inherently sophisticated and robust plate saw.

“We’ve been encouraged by the response from the UK market to our entire COMPCUT range and sales have been very buoyant, particularly so with the COMPCUT 200 model which has fulfilled our goal in offering a high quality ‘entry level’ plate saw to meet an ever-broadening demand,” stated Sharp & Tappin CEO, Ben Sharp. “We have been delighted with positive comments from customers across the R&D and materials testing sectors. It is this market reaction to the COMPCUT range that has encouraged us to start exploring the potential for European sales and our attendance at JEC World.”

To underpin the company’s confidence in its Composite Plate Saws’ performance – a COMPCUT 200 unit will be working on its stand throughout the show cutting samples across a wide range of different composite materials. Visitors are encouraged to bring along their own composite material/samples to cut on the demonstration machine, so they can review its performance, cut quality, perpendicularity and parallelism for themselves.
