Scott Bader will be showcasing its range of composite resins and gelcoats, developed to meet the demanding mechanical and fire performance test standards in the passenger rail industry for rolling stock and infrastructure composite materials. It will also be exhibiting its range of methacrylate-based primerless structural adhesives for use in the rail sector, originally developed for automotive and mass transport applications to bond metals, plastics and composite substrates.
Latest advanced composites technology materials from Scott Bader for producing FRP composite parts showcased at the show include: a range of halogen free, low surface spread fire retardant (FR) hand and spray applied Crystic Fireguard gelcoats and intumescent topcoats; the extended range of 10:1 and 1:1 ratio Crestabond primerless MMA structural adhesives with new black grades for carbon fibre applications; the latest range of urethane acrylate-based high performance Crestapol acrylic laminating resins, with grade options that can be mixed with aluminium trihydrate (ATH) to produce fire, smoke and toxic fumes (FST) rated carbon and glass fibre reinforced composite parts by hand lay-up, vacuum infusion closed moulding or pultrusion processes.
Scott Bader is exhibiting at InnoTrans 2016 from 20-23 September at Messe Berlin (Hall 8.2/ Stand 318).
