SCIGRIP says it has a long history in developing and supplying innovative adhesive chemistries to many US marine manufacturers. The company is now looking to build on this success and increase their profile within the European sector.
At METSTRADE 2016, SCIGRIP will present its portfolio of Lloyd’s Register approved methacrylate adhesives (MMA) that are said to offer unmatched durability as well as flexibility in the production environment. SCIGRIP has also achieved American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) certification for its SG230 HV (high viscosity) range of structural products.
SCIGRIP’s recent acquisition of Arjay Technologies is allowing the company to offer boat manufacturers more choice than ever before.
Rod Fleming, SCIGRIP’s sales and marketing director stated: “Builders are continuing to reduce the costs associated with constructing their boats and this is one of the reasons SCIGRIP’s purchase of Arjay Technologies was so attractive. There is evidently a large difference in the costs associated with using MMA's to bond marine parts and components together versus putties. SCIGRIP can therefore offer two superior technologies to the marine market at different price points and help builders achieve their objectives either way.”
