Rockwood Composites wins Composites UK Innovation in Manufacture award

Mark Crouchen and Douglas Johnstone represented the company at the awards dinner, which was held at the National Motorcycle Museum.

With over 300 people attending the dinner on 31^st October, this prestigious award celebrates the best of the composites industry and the leaders and supporters of the growing sector.

Rockwood specialises in designing and manufacturing composites components for many sectors, including, aerospace, automotive, medical and nuclear. The Rockwood team has been supplying these industries for 25 years.

The award for Innovation in Manufacture was awarded to Rockwood Composites for its work with Tokamak Energy to develop a high voltage, high stress, electrical insulation system using high pressure moulding of pre-preg composites. Tokamak Energy aims to achieve commercial fusion power with a view of providing energy into the grid by 2030.
