NEXX to showcase advanced prepreg systems at CAMX

NEXX Technologies, manufacturer and supplier of innovative prepreg composite materials, will be exhibiting at this year’s Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX), held on 17-20 October 2022 in Anaheim, California.

The company will showcase its range of modified epoxy and cyanate ester prepreg materials EndurEdge Max, at Booth N48.

NEXX Technologies streamlines the process of prepreg manufacture with its cutting-edge product development in two currently available thermoset chemistries: modified epoxy and cyanate ester. Manufacturing time is greatly decreased when compared to traditional composite prepregs, with out of autoclave (OOA) and vacuum bag only (VBO) processing capable with extended out time of over one year with no change in rheology and processing conditions.

These attributes accompany a host of benefits towards the end-user, including:

  • No freezing required – modified epoxy can be stored at room temperature, removing time and costs by eliminating controlled temperature shipping requirements.
  • No debulking or post cure – all processes are optimized for the highest quality finish.
  • Excellent mechanical properties – meets or exceeds the performance of legacy systems.
  • Engineered air release channels – allows for excellent OOA / VBO or Autoclave processing.
  • Snap Cure capable – press cure in ~5 minutes.
  • Relaxed fibres – our unique impregnation process makes prepreg material feel like dry fabric. This allows easier wrapping and reduces layup time.
  • Available in a variety of materials – Carbon Fiber, Glass, Kevlar, UD Tape

NEXX Technologies is committed to the long-term growth and satisfaction of its customers. At CAMX, the team will be on hand to provide the best in customer service and support, as well as boosting the company’s market presence with the most innovative prepreg materials seen to date. Orders for stock products can be shipped immediately and custom products can be provided in a matter of weeks.

Joseph Kidd, general manager, NEXX Technologies, said: “We are showcasing the next step in prepreg composite materials and processing, from saving our customers time and money to advancing our epoxy and cyanate ester resin properties with faster and simpler processing as well as eliminating the need for frozen storage. CAMX is a great opportunity for networking and providing insight into our ongoing efforts.”
