Taking place at The Park Hotel, Amsterdam on 31 January – 1 February 2017, the conference will include sessions on Design and Analysis, Materials and Structures, Testing, and Applications, together with an array of Case Studies. Keynote presentations will be delivered by Andrew Mafeld of Connectra Global on The Future of Building – The Growing Use of Composites in Construction and Architecture and also from David Kendall of Optima Projects.
Featuring speakers from architect’s UNStudio and Lemercier-Bona, plus Witteveen+Bos, Atkins Global, Gurit Composite Components, Construction Composites and many more, the conference will look at the current and future use of composites in construction and the benefits they provide to the construction industry. With attendees already signed up from across the supply chain, the event looks set to provide a good opportunity for networking, education and discussion.
Gemma Smith, marketing and communications manager at NetComposites, said “Following the success of CompIC 2015, we’re really looking forward to CompIC 2017. A number of projects were born from the last conference and its attendees working together and we hope we can further this through the 2017 edition. We need to help raise awareness of composites and their advantages with respect to more traditional materials. And hopefully this is something we can achieve with the upcoming event.”
