German CNC specialist, MAKA Systems say it traditionally sets a special theme at JEC World, Paris.

At this year’s event, held March 12-14, at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition park, MAKA’s focus is on boatbuilding. On booth A64 in hall 6, a model of a new yacht will be featured - produced by the Tunisian company Rassas Construction, who have not only earned a reputation as a high-quality manufacturer of special catamaran yachts and speed boats, but is now also a supplier to some of the biggest international industry players.

“We chose boatbuilding this time because this industry is the most demanding of all the composites applications,” said MAKA key account manager, Saladin Zolotic.

MAKA supplies 5-axis CNC machines to a number of leading boatbuilders worldwide. The 5-axis centres are used both for making models made of plastic blocks as well as for cutting work of any kind on hulls and interior parts.

Rassas Construction uses MAKA’s type BC 570 moving bridge centre in its boat production. The 5-axis technology of the BC 570 allows for usable lengths of up to 50m, a travel distance of up to 6m, and a Z-axis stroke of up to 4.25m for complete full-size hulls. Rigid construction and high-performance ensure exceptional accuracy and efficiency of machining.

The construction of high-quality boats is just one of MAKA’s areas of expertise. The German company serves users large and small in the plastics and composites sector and is particularly successful in the aerospace and the automotive industry sector. At JEC World 2019, MAKA will also inform visitors about current projects in these markets, where the company’s reliable and robust technology and its ability to deliver efficient total solutions - from a single source - is highly appreciated.

Special qualities define MAKA when it comes to sophisticated, customer-specific system technology. Of particular note is this CNC specialist’s many years of experience.

Looking confidently towards MAKA’s showing at JEC World, MAKA managing director, Klaus Kern concluded: “At the JEC World 2019, we especially want to reach those companies who want to stay ahead of the competition in the future.”
