Imetrum, a leader in the field of camera-based, non-contact precision measurement will be demonstrating its measurement capability in the SME Village, hall 6, booth N4 throughout the JEC World, Paris show.

Imetrum’s technology has huge benefits and cost-savings for materials manufacturers and users. You will get the opportunity to find out about the latest addition to the UVX range – the 300 series - which is due to be launched in June 2019. The UVX 300 series takes into consideration out-of-plane movement, which is essential in material testing, and ensures Imetrum continues to lead the way in non-contact video extensometry.

The compact 300 series modules allow precision measurements down to 0.01% strain, even for those options that are also suitable for high elongation. All modules are suited to determining modulus, Poisson’s ratio, and other low-strain material properties such as R and N values for almost all materials including composites, metals, plastics, rubbers and ceramics. This is possible because the stereo-camera module and 3D optics quantify and mitigate out-of-plane movement - an important factor which needs to be considered in almost all low strain material testing with video extensometers.

Both the UVX, for materials testing, and 3D PDT, for component testing, are based on Imetrum’s Video Gauge software and are characterised by their measurement resolution, accuracy, versatility and efficient work flows. Each system offers unique measurement tools such as two- and three-dimensional optical extensometers, LVDTs and measurement of true shear strain.
