As an established manufacturer and supplier across Eastern Europe, Scott Bader is exhibiting at two key forth coming regional shows, which attract visitors interested in high performance composite materials.

At both Kompozyt-Expo 2017 and Railway Interiors Expo 2017, Scott Bader will be primarily promoting its range of approved fire, smoke and toxic fume emission (FST) gelcoats and back up resins, used for manufacturing fire retardant (FR) moulded FRP parts and pultruded profiles.

The first event taking place in Kraków, Poland is Kompozyt-Expo, the 8th International Trade Fair for Composite Materials, Technologies and Products, which runs from 11-12 October. This exhibition is billed as the most important event for the Polish composites industry and Central-Eastern Europe. At this event, Scott Bader is co-exhibiting and supporting its national distributor for Poland and the Czech Republic, CSV Kompozyty (stand W24).

Alongside the FST products, during Kompozyt Expo 2017, CSV Kompozyty is also showcasing Scott Bader’s expanded range of Crystic Ecogel ultra low styrene UV resistant Iso and Iso-NPG spray gelcoats for demanding exterior industrial applications. This environmentally friendly, weather resistant, gelcoat range now has five product options from 23% styrene content to 0%, with the Ecogel S0 PA ‘zero’ styrene grade being used globally by a major player in the wind turbine energy market.

The Railway Interiors Expo event takes place from 14-15 November at the new Prague Letnany Exhibition Centre (PVA) in the Czech Republic. Since 2004, it has remained an international rail show which specializes in exhibitors promoting the latest concepts, technologies and materials for use within rolling stock. In more recent years there has been increasing interest from show visitors in FR composites materials to reduce weight. The Scott Bader stand (Hall 1 - 1077) will be showcasing the complete range of fire, smoke and toxic fume emission (FST) products. The range includes matched gelcoat and resin laminate systems, which have been independently tested and meet many stringent FST specifications for FRP parts used in overground and subterranean passenger train carriages and rolling stock for both interior and exterior applications.

Scott Bader has developed and supplied fire retardant (FR) thermoset resins and gelcoats for composites applications to the rail sector for over 35 years. The extensive FST current range includes: Crystic Fireguard; halogen free FR gelcoats and intumescent topcoat; FST polyester resins and compounds; and FST Crestapol urethane acrylate resin systems, with different grades available for infusion, pultrusion and filament windings processes. All FST grade Crestapol resins can be ATH filled up to 200phr, with matched laminate systems meeting many European stringent FST standards rail and building standards including: EN 45545-2:2013 ; EN 1301-1 B,s1,d0; NF F 16-101-F1 and NFP 92-501-M1; Spanish M1; and Din 4102-B1.
