Eclipse Composites Engineering has announced its Utah manufacturing operation has successfully achieved the ISO 9001:2015 international quality standard. Eclipse meets the ISO 9001:2015 standard under the scope of "design and manufacture of composite material items for the United States Military and DoD agencies."

The ISO 9001:2015 standard is a worldwide standard for excellence in quality management systems, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. The international standard lets customers and business partners know an ISO-certified company has the requisite system and safeguards in place to provide the highest quality products and services.

"While our quality system has been in place for several years, we needed third-party endorsement of the robustness of our system. The ISO 9001:2015 certification is a critical element to our rapid business growth," said Karl Hawes, general manager of Eclipse. "Through evidence-based audits, we were able to demonstrate and validate that the Eclipse Quality Management System is robust and suitable for the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This lets our customers know that we are a high quality and low-risk solution for supply of composite structures."

The Eclipse Utah operation is a manufacturer of advanced carbon fibre reinforced composites for aerospace, defence, and industrial customers. The Eclipse operation specialises in resin transfer moulding (RTM), vacuum infusion, and compression moulding processes. Eclipse also offers a lightweight, military-grade SATCOM antenna technology under its own Pioneer product line.
