Compotech, the technical fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) moulded parts and systems manufacturer, has begun operations in Nyrigyhazha, Hungary in its new resin transfer moulding (RTM) and hand layup facility.

The new premises will complement Compotech’s long-established sheet moulding compound (SMC), reinforced fibre and composites capability, which is based in Weinfelden, Switzerland. Compotech will be able to offer its rail, transport and equipment manufacturing customers both low and high-volume quality production at very competitive prices.

Venkatesh Tulluri and Marcus Schwyn, joint managing directors at Compotech said: “As well as volume rail interiors and automotive exterior parts, we can now offer our customers bespoke or low-volume production.”

With size no longer a limitation, 3m x 2.5m parts can be readily produced alongside even larger parts for rail exteriors and wind energy. Full assembly, finishing and logistics are also a key element of the service offering.
