The Masterform machine has been specifically created by CMS for long-fibre composite material thermoforming and works with a clamp force up to 100 tons, ensuring the best moulding of complex shapes and tight corners.
Various application fields include:
- Vacuum Forming: Standard thermoforming process using vacuum on upper or lower mould plate.
- Pressure Forming: Forming process using air pressure (up to 5 bar) and/or vacuum.
- Mechanical Forming: Forming using two matching die moulds.
- Twin-Sheet Forming: Forming of two separated sheets welded together during the process with or without inner core.
The machining centre enables extremely fast set-up and cycle times and can machine non-composite materials too. Within the Masterform machine range we also have the ability when thermoforming a single sheet to tandem load for increased productivity. Versatility is enhanced by the heating system which operates on both sides of the sheet.
The structure ensures limited overall dimensions and is equipped with a special integral moving table system, which enables realizing an interlock between the two die halves.
The machine can be controlled by a single operator as the functions are all automated and self-programmable.
The dimensions covered are from 1.500x1.200mm up to 3.000 x 2.000mm
