Carbon ThreeSixty join NCC as SME affiliate scheme member

The National Composites Centre (NCC) has welcome Carbon ThreeSixty, the structural composites specialist, as an SME Affiliate Scheme member.

The NCC and Carbon ThreeSixty have worked together on a number of innovative projects together – most recently the development of revolutionary all-composite helicopter wheels – and the membership provides Carbon ThreeSixty with affordable enhanced benefits, including access to the NCC’s ‘beyond’ state-of the-art technology, specialist training and networking opportunities.

Ed Allnutt, managing director at Carbon ThreeSixty, commented: “Having partnered with the NCC on numerous projects, Carbon ThreeSixty sees the affiliate membership as a natural continuation of our collaborative working relationship. Affiliation provides CTS with affordable access to the NCC’s capabilities, expertise, training and networks. It serves as further evidence of Carbon ThreeSixty’s commitment to R&D, innovation, growth and investment.”

The SME Affiliate Scheme – launched in October 2020 – allows small and medium-sized enterprises to gain easy access to knowledge, training and networking events that will help them take full advantage of composites in their business.

Leah Rider, head of SME delivery at the NCC, added: “We’re really pleased to welcome Carbon ThreeSixty on board as SME Affiliate members. We’ve enjoyed a productive and innovative working relationship with them to date, and we’re excited to build on that and help solve more of the complex engineering challenges our customers are facing.”

The NCC is a UK composite research and development facility, and part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult.
