The Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) returns to Orlando, Florida this September to showcase a diverse range of exhibitors and game-changing products.

Three years ago, the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) joined forces to create CAMX - The Composites and Advanced Materials Expo.

The show debuted in Orlando and attracted 7,000 composites industry professionals from all over the world. Since then, the show has diversified its programming and grown in attendance by 10%, becoming North America’s premier event for composite and advanced materials products, solutions, networking and advanced industry thinking.

On September 12, CAMX will make its return to Orlando. The event will kick off with an exciting General Session featuring an engaging keynote address and awards ceremony recognising the industry’s most impressive innovations. Attendees will also get a chance to check out game-changing products and end use applications at the event’s expansive exhibit hall, featuring the finalists for the annual CAMX Award and ACMA’s Awards for Composites Excellence (ACE).

In addition to the wide array of products on display in booths and live demos on the show floor, the exhibit hall will include a new area, Innovation Park. Located in the centre of the exhibit hall, Innovation Park will offer four zones that present great opportunities for learning, networking and inspiration.

The first of these areas is the New Exhibitor Zone where attendees can learn more about companies and start-ups new to CAMX. The New Exhibitor Zone is an opportunity to find out what these companies are doing in the industry and how their work can impact your business. This area will feature the all-new xC start-up competition. The competition is focused on innovation, the value created by the use of composite materials in the innovation, the role of the partners in the development phase, and the market potential and benefits for the end-users. The three best-ranked teams can win up to a total of $10,000.

Innovation Park will also include Consultants Corner, where attendees can get trustworthy, constructive answers to important questions from CAMX’s pool of experts. Another way for attendees to get valuable information is through Innovation Park’s Presentation Theatre, which will include breaking news, press conferences, special announcements and more. Attendees who visit the theatre will also have access to free technical presentations featuring new products and technical solutions. The final area of Innovation Park is the Connection Zone where attendees can network and learn from each other. Each day, CAMX will hold specialised meet-ups that address a wide range of interests and topics. Individuals can select the group of their choice.

CAMX 2017 will supplement its lively exhibit hall with the most extensive conference programme for the industry anywhere in the world. Every year, attendees rely on CAMX for detailed technical papers and education sessions that can impact how they do business. CAMX education sessions are hosted by renowned industry thought leaders, with experts sharing their knowledge of over 100 different topics. This year’s featured sessions will cover hot topics including recycling, next-generation manufacturing, simulation and modelling, additive manufacturing and hybrid materials. Attendees will also get the chance to check out the latest industry research conducted by students, universities and companies during the Poster Session.

The full conference programme will be available at thecamx.org in July. Start planning your CAMX 2017 experience today with the MyCAMX Planner, available at http://camx17.mapyourshow.com. Early bird registration ends August 18 – sign up today at http://www.thecamx.org/registration/.
