Atlas manufacture a diverse range of composite structures and tooling for a number of industry sectors that include automotive, defence and more importantly aerospace – a key factor that triggered the acquisition interest of David Beavan, CEO of Senior Aerospace BWT. “Over the past six months Atlas Composites proved themselves to be a highly responsive and technically competent supplier in supporting our engineering team with the development of composite ECU ducts for the Mitsubishi MRJ and the Bombardier CSeries programmes,” stated Beavan. “The acquisition of Atlas Composites will enhance the structural composites capabilities within Senior Aerospace BWT and the Senior group of companies.” Speaking of the acquisition Atlas Composites’ managing director, Shaun Moloney said: “This is all about creating long-term sustainable growth for UK manufacturing.
