“We are seeing consistently strong demand for our structural PET foam core materials all over the world. To cope with this demand and expand our current Brazilian customer base, Barracuda Advanced Composites is a key partner to support our growth strategy in the South American market,” commented Thomas Kessel, general manager Armacell PET Foams.
The distribution agreement covers Armacell’s entire range of ArmaForm products from structural foam boards to thin flexible sheets, all made from Armacell’s patented r-PET technology. This enables the production of structural PET foams using recycled PET bottles.
“Parallel to our existing distributor network and direct customer contacts, the collaboration represents a great opportunity for us to explore new applications in new market segments,” added Henri Chapelle, sales and marketing manager PET Foams.
Commenting on the cooperation agreement, Jorge Nasseh, CEO of Barracuda Advanced Composites, stated: “We are looking forward to working with Armacell. The company’s expertise and sustainable solutions open up new opportunities for marine, automotive, energy, civil and industrial applications.”
