Celebrating 15 years at the forefront of UK composites manufacturing, Atlas Composites says it has one eye set on the future following the appointment of a new IT manager.

Chris Luckcuck joins the burgeoning Atlas Composites team as its 70th member of staff, representing a 10% increase in staff numbers over the past 12 months for the Ilkeston-based aerospace composites manufacturer. Chris brings with him a wealth of experience gained from over 10 years working in various sectors of the IT industry, experience which he is hoping will add a new dimension to Atlas Composites’ digital service offering. Speaking on his new appointment Atlas Composites’ managing director, Shaun Moloney said: “We're absolutely delighted to welcome Chris to the Atlas Composites’ ranks. Already he has hit the ground running with identifying the improvements needed to bring Atlas' IT infrastructure up to the exceptionally high levels necessary for our civil and commercial aerospace customer base. “Chris’ role at Atlas Composites will include support and maintenance of existing systems, information and network security management, maintaining and improving digital audit trails, risk management and disaster recovery.” Commenting on his new challenge, Luckcuck said: “I am looking forward to making a difference at a technology driven company by introducing new systems, where possible, to help support and streamline the Atlas Composites business processes.” “A really important part of my new role will be maintaining the stability and security of the information systems to support production during a key period of growth.” www.atlascomposites.com
