The MicroTop 1.5 is a new addition to Alan Harper Composites, dispensing of 1:1 silicones.

Developed to handle a whole range of 1:1 elastomers, the new dispenser brings low cost and precise dispensing features.

Alan Harper Composites specialises in the field of silicone reusable vacuum membranes and offers the MicroTop primarily for small membrane manufacture.

The 1.5 litre capacity cartridges for the MicroTop 1.5 are available with a variety of Shore hardness levels. This allows the user rapid choice and efficient changeover to a variety of pre-packaged silicones.

It’s well known that the reusable membrane for prepreg use, 'in' or 'out' of the autoclave, is improved and more ideal with the higher shore hardness. This is now available in 50 Shore A as a more convenient, reliable and economic cartridge format with the new MicroTop 1.5 dispenser.

The ability to build-in local corner pressure intensification greatly assists the elimination of fibre bridging in internal corner profiles, a well-known problem when using conventional single use thin bagging films. Membrane usage of over 200 cycles at temperatures up to 185°C are recorded by clients which not only eliminates consumable waste, but significantly reduces bagging up times, now with the bonus of greater quality and consistency.
