R-TECH Materials, one of the UK’s leading testing, analysis and consultancy businesses, has hailed this year’s Advanced Engineering Show (AES) at the NEC a huge success after it increased visitors to its stand by 350% and received 11 concrete enquiries.

Dr Geraint Havard, R-TECH’s composites manager, said: “This was our second year at the AES and it’s been a great show. We got 350% more visitors to the stand than two years ago and of those 25% were new business leads, which bodes well for the future. We’ve already booked our stand in the Composites Engineering zone at next year’s AES!”

Whilst at the show R-TECH Materials was also officially presented with its JEC Asia Innovation award via video link for its work on developing an early warning safety sensor for hydrogen fuel cell storage tanks in cars.

R-TECH is on track to secure aerospace approval from Nadcap at the end of 2017 and has also teamed up with Zwick Roell to run training courses on mechanical testing of composites in 2018.
