Since the project completion with Hexion CCT, Direct Tool Company (DTC) has won further contracts for composite manufacturing and engineering firms.

In brief, the installation commissioned by Direct Tool Company involved fitting out a 10 person training facility which included the fitting of cupboards, air and dust extraction system and downdraft benches.

The new training facility has allowed Hexion CCT to upskill their existing staff but also serve as an important training centre for the workforce across the composite industry. The bespoke dust extraction systems allow trainees to develop their skills in a safe, clean and comfortable composite production training facility.

Tim Wakeford, managing director of Direct Tool Company, commented: “I’m delighted with the manner of which this project was carried out, we kept within budget, delivered on time and have another happy customer. The downdraft benches, air and dust extraction systems will safely allow for the practice of several major composite production processes. We’re thrilled to have worked with Hexion CCT on this project.”
